W3 College Track and Pizza Party
College Workshops
Friday 5pm - 6:30 (includes pizza party - who doesn't like free pizza?) in Aviators
and Sat midnight in Innovation (and heading to taco happy hour afterwards)
These two workshops are included with your Student Pass (along with our regular leveled and open workshops!)
About the Instructors:
Elizabeth 'Lizzy' Spann
Lizzy started her West Coast Swing journey fifteen years ago as a junior in Florida/ Colorado. She now competes at the All Star level having competed in a variety of cities across the U.S. and is an experienced instructor.
​Joel and Amanda Gorman hail from Allen, Texas, where they have trained in West Coast Swing for twenty years, dancing on the Rising Star Circuit, and teaching at 2155 Dance for over a decade. With their combination of classical dance study and an educational background in curriculum writing for Amanda and the mechanical engineering and music theory mind of Joel, they bring a unique way to explain concepts and make their instruction tailored to each individual classroom of dancers they teach.
College Swing Scholarship
Are you a full time college student in the WCS Community? The CSS Scholarship is awarded at W3 every year - and it's back from hiatus!
Every year applicants (Full time college students) go through the college program (college track and pizza party), and from these applicants - the CSS selection committee selects 1 scholar per year. These scholars are awarded support to attend 3-4 events of their choice (including airfare, hotel and pass) as well as training (e.g. dance, dj, teaching), shoe sponsorships as well as opportunities to explore their passions and contribute to the WCS community.
CSS is here to help develop the next generation of WCS leaders through dance scholarship and training on all aspects of wcs! For 2025, applications are closed. For more information on how to apply, see collegeswingscolarship.org
